Presidents Report
Hi everyone and welcome to the 2022 season, I would like to start by thanking outgoing committee members for their hard work and dedication in making our club a better place. I would also like to welcome our new committee members as well as returning committee members. We are very lucky to have such a dynamic enthusiastic group to help take the Suns to the next level in 2022.
On the field things are looking very exciting with good numbers turning out pre-Christmas for our Div 1 and 3 teams having 43 players train. The season is looking very bright. We are always looking for more players though as it takes an army to be successful, so if you’re thinking of playing then contact us today!!
Our juniors resume late Feb and we are aiming to fill under 9s, U11’s, U13’s, U15’s and u17.5’s. If we can achieve this goal it will go a long way to achieving our sustainability plan. It will also be the first time our club has fielded every age group.
I would like to welcome new coaches Cal Broughton (Div 3), Letitia Douglas (u15) along with
returning coaches Ash Wall (u11), Mahalia Davies (u17.5) and Div 1 Coach Bradley Matthews.
Off the field the Committee has set some big but achievable goals for the 2022 season with a big emphasis on sponsorship and fundraising. If you want to sponsor or have ideas of potential sponsors for us to approach please let us know so we can action it. We would also like to thank all of our current sponsors in their amazing efforts and contribution to the Suns, we cannot run without you.
We plan to have a fundraising calendar out shortly and some of our out of the box ideas are sure to be exciting and a must attend.
All in all this is going to be a very exciting year for the growth of our club and I can’t wait for you all to be a part of the sunrise in 2022

I have always loved football and played for several years when I was younger. I loved being part of a team and the physicality and skill of football. Since I’ve finished playing, I have pursued the trainer’s role at the South East Suns and have loved every minute of it!
I am a qualified personal trainer and massage therapist and am currently in the last year of a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science degree. I run a small business “Discovery Health & Fitness”, which I am very passionate about and enjoy working closely with the SES players. I provide personal training, massage therapy, strength and conditioning coaching, programming and most recently, have teamed up with a dietitian. So many services are on offer through DHF!
I am passionate about injury prevention, rehab, conditioning and match fitness, and ensuring the players have fun whilst learning new skills, for on the footy field and for their everyday life.
